That concept is a great idea, but if we all after the same thing, why am I going to promote someone else. It would make more since to promote myself. How can we get into top promoter, why should we risk promoting the person that may take our spot in the showcase, or even in the contract signing?

This contest shouldn't focus so much on having a sound that has been selling for the last few years. You can have a song that was a hit 5 years ago and score in the 90's but not have a fan base. You can have a new sound that score in the 70's and have a large fan base. If the song you have in the 90's draw in 1,200 people and the song you have in the 70's draw in 12,000, which is the greater opportunity?

I don't know about the rest of you but I'm losing fan support. My supporters will go to my site to vote for me but know you have to be logged in to vote. Not everyone want to create a profile just to vote for an artist. If that's the case it should have been done from the beginning. There are people on here with over 10,000 votes. There aren't that many fans registered on Hitlab. There is no way anyone else who isn't already in the top 10 going to move up by votes and that's all that some of us have to work with.
