The reason I say this is, "If you look at the life-style of the individual or for musicians what they talk about in their songs -lyrics- you come to find conflicting ideals. Some might call this hypocritical or deceiving. Now, don't get me wrong, the video is professional, those youth do have it hard as far as I can tell, but so do children "all over the world." I salute and applaud Akon's work in this area if' he is really doing so. Somewhere along the line you have to decide, "Am I an entertainer or am I philanthropist?" I believe someone can be both -but until I talk, see, and hear from the man himself, I am afraid this will be as debatable as the controversy of whether of not man really stepped on the moon. This is not a "bash" on Akon or what is he is trying to do or say, but I have a tendency to question everything I hear or see. Humanity has, will, and is always going to go through tough times, but I am weary of those who attempt to look good or capitalize off the mis-fortune of others. I'm not saying this is what he is doing, but once again, I haven't talked to the man.
