HITLAB Media and WEMAKE Announce Strategic Partnership
Paris, France / Montreal, QC, Canada — HITLAB Media, a subsidiary of Hitlab Inc. (HITLAB), pleased to announce the formal signature of a long-term co-development and co-production with the Paris based major format production company, WeMake, a division of international group Federation Entertainment.
WeMake and Hitlab Media will jointly produce and bring to the international marketplace, starting at MIP TV this coming April, their new original format whose working title is “Man vs The machine”© 2018, the “machine” being HITLAB’s patented and Patent Pending technology “CanUSing” and DNA. DNA scientifically identifies sound patterns to predict the potential success of new and undiscovered original songs.
WeMake has also partnered with Live Nation Productions in the US to develop and produce a musical talent competition and has acquired French adaptation rights to the Belgian format Taboe.
Bouchra Réjani, the president of We Make, previously spent seven years at Shine France before leaving in early 2017, said that new platforms were presenting fresh opportunities to unscripted companies

At WeMake, just like at Federation, we bring together the best creative talents from France and elsewhere to forge global partnerships in order to meet this demand,” said Réjani. “Our partnership with Hitlab Media is a step forward in that direction”.

Prior to launching WeMake, Bouchra Réjani was COO of Shine France from 2010 to 2017, where she was responsible for the company’s strategic and commercial development (The Voice, Prodiges, Tunnel), up until the merger with Endemol in France. Before that, she held various posts with FremantleMedia in France (Nouvelle Star, Incroyable Talent, Questions pour un Champion, la Famille en Or, etc.), rising to Managing Director. She began her media career with Fox Kids Europe in London.
